Volunteers Sought

VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT FOR THE COUNTESS OF WARWICK SHOW AND THE LITTLE EASTON NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

Countess of Warwick Show

Once again SEP will have a stand at the Countess of Warwick Show on 29 & 30 August at Little Easton where we will be highlighting the threat to this historic area and the medieval deer park that lies at its heart from Landsec’s proposal to build 1,200 houses on the land between Great Dunmow and Little Easton and a further 10,000 houses on Easton Park. We will also be promoting our proposal for the restoration of Easton Park launched a year ago which remains a real possibility, provided that UDC does not permit housing on this land.

Many of our core members are playing key roles in the running of the Show and will not be able to help man our stand. So, we are asking for volunteers to cover two-hour slots on either day between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm. We hope to have a minimum of two for each slot and always to have a member of the core team present. If you can help, please email stopeastonpark@gmail.com indicating when you might be available.

Neighbourhood Plan

Little Easton has also embarked on the formation of a Neighbourhood Plan to assist in protecting the parish from a continuing high level of wanton exploitation by developers but, being such a small village, are short of people to help with the workload involved. Again, if any would be interested to assist, could they please advise us by emailing stopeastonpark@gmail.com

As ever, with our thanks.
